Is There a Way to Resize Images?

i'm working on a thread in Showin' Off but i realize that the pics i have hotlinked is scaled in the preview to 1215 pixels long. is there a way to reduce that or do i have to manually resize it myself?

At present I think the forums aren't respecting dimension tags on images; lemme test something real quick using my avatar
